EMEA Service Provider Client Director – UK

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated candidate to join our sales team as EMEA Service Provider Client Director . The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing ProLabs’ Service Provider and Telco business in EMEA, to develop strategies and position ProLabs products into Telco & Service Provider customers.

This position can be home based or at our UK headquarters in Gloucestershire. The role will report to the VP of EMEA Sales, based in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Penetrate and develop Telco & Service Providers at target account(s)
  • Implement Service Provider business growth strategy utilising both direct sales and channel partners
  • Support Service Provider RFI’s, best positioning ProLabs for engagement.
  • Work with our technical team to ensure awareness and development of the product set required by key partners
  • Visiting customers and maintaining top level relationships with target account(s)

Skills Required

  • Strong relationships at various levels of technical and procurement teams at target account(s)
  • Understanding of and experience with the technical and procurement processes of target account(s)
  • Ability to work on own initiative or work as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure

Product Support Executive

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Product Support Executive to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will be the first line ‘go to’ resource for technical product-related queries providing excellent pre and post sales technical support to our customers, partners, sales team and customer support & operations team.

This position will be based at our UK headquarters in Gloucestershire. The role will report to the Technical Director EMEA & India, based in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically provide technical support, information and advice to our customers, partners, sales team and customer support team & operations team
  • Support channel sales partners with product and market information; developing relationships with vendor managers
  • Ensure that all customer queries (internal and external) are logged and handled in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Interface with Contract Management team to assist with adding new parts to systems and fixing local systems issues
  • Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of transceiver compatibility
  • Work closely with the Product Management team to ensure product knowledge is current as well as being able to articulate new products on the horizon
  • Assist with complex customer technical cases, involving wider team members from Product Management and Engineering, ensuring excellent case management and customer satisfaction
  • Assist with the ‘triage’ of post-sales customer issues to assess optimum route to achieve customer satisfaction

Skills Required

  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn, both with on-the-job training and self-learning activities.
  • Customer-centric: Strives to provide fast and accurate product sales support to customers and partners
  • Technical competency: An interest in network connectivity products (for example: cabling, patch-cords, optical transceivers, direct attach cabling and media converters); you may hold a technical qualification, but this is not essential
  • Cross-Functional teamwork: Foster tight partnerships with sales, product, marketing, operations and manufacturing partners
  • Communication: Demonstrates excellent inter-departmental and customer facing communications. The role requires daily customer and supplier communications over phone, email and in person.
  • Good analytical and quantitative skills: MS Excel use and spreadsheet analysis, awareness of product pricing, margins and cost
  • Action oriented: creates a strong sense of urgency, can manage multiple priorities

Networks Field System Engineer - U.S.

Location: Anywhere in the contiguous US.

We are looking for an experienced, team-oriented Networks Field System Engineer to work in the MSO (Cable), Internet Service Provider and Data Center space. This position will team with Sales account teams in a technical role supporting the teams managing multiple accounts and facilitating the sale of products and solutions. In addition to technical aptitude and staying current in an evolving industry, the ideal candidate's interpersonal, presentation and communication skills will help to build mindshare and technical capabilities with key partners. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly competitive sales environment is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective coordination and support between ProLabs account teams for pre/post sale technical resources.
  • Develop and maintain trusted professional relationships with customer technical leadership and engineers involved with planning and implementing initiatives, projects, deployments, etc.
  • Provide technical enablement to all customers, including product and solution training, roadmap updates, hands-on training, and developing/providing product demonstrations.
  • Communicate highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including customer engineers and technical decision makers.
  • Take ownership of high priority or sensitive customer issues, ensuring prompt, satisfactory resolution to the issue by using a systematic approach and assembling appropriate technical resources.
  • Understand and influence customer requirements and translate them into company solutions.
  • Proofs-of-Concept (PoC) and test plans overview, preparation during appropriate sales stage.
  • Compile detailed Product Verification Report (PVR) to provide product certification to internal organizations and external customers.
  • Product demos, Bill-of-Materials (BoM), solution proposal and RFI/RFP support.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products, and services, as well as industry trends.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience with large-scale service provider network operations, design and/or complex enterprise and evolution with a topical understanding of private/public/hybrid IT business models.
  • Working knowledge [hands-on preferred] and deep understanding of data networking infrastructures, architectures, concepts and associated technologies: Route/Switch L2/L3, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing Protocols (BGP/ISIS/OSPF, etc.), MPLS, LDP, L2/L3 VPN, Multicast, ACL, FW.
  • Working knowledge of DWDM/CWDM optical transport systems, switches, routers, modules, platforms in major network equipment such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Ciena, Nokia/ALU, etc. DOCSIS CMTS, Edge QAM, Outside Plant and HFC understanding is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, collaborative work skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills, presentation and time-management skills.
  • Strong personality with leadership skills working in complex matrix external organizations.
  • Strong presence and credibility to be proven at customer sites and internally.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Will ideally have a solid understanding of optical transceiver, optic form factors, optical technologies and higher order modulations used in relevant data or telecommunication applications.
  • Relevant vendor certifications: Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Arista, or other industry certificates are beneficial.

Other Information:

  • This position requires minimum 50% travel regional and international.
  • Some short notice, overnight, weekend travel might be required due to customer need.
